Master Sha’s unique mindfulness meditation achieved through Tao Calligraphy and its healing field can boost the immune system and help practitioners achieve peace of mind.

Most people are aware that meditation is good for the mind and body. Mindful meditation in particular can help to reduce anxiety levels and there is increasing scientific research to show it can also help our immune systems.

Meditation and the Tao Calligraphy Healing Field

I recently spoke at the Turning Point 2020 conference on the benefits of meditation, Tao and healing. My keynote concentrated on the Tao Calligraphy Healing Field, which combines ancient arts with a modern focus on mindfulness and flow.

Chinese calligraphy has been practised for centuries as a form of art and expression. It is much more than simply beautiful, however. Calligraphy encourages qi (the flow of energy) and the discipline necessary to practice Chinese calligraphy adds another element.

In 2017, scientific researchers discovered that the practice of calligraphy can reduce blood pressure, respiratory rate and heart rate. It was also found to reduce anxiety and stress in the subjects tested. Working on the basis of the ancient art of Chinese calligraphy and its immunity boosting properties, I developed Tao Calligraphy and its associated Healing Field in 2013.

This unique form of Chinese calligraphy combines the one-stroke art of Yi Bi Zi with mantra chanting. As a form of meditation, it allows the practitioner to achieve mindfulness and heightened awareness. Through this combination of chanting and Tao Calligraphy, the practitioner reaches a deep meditative state. At the same time, the practitioner remains in control and full alert.

The healing effects on the mind and body of this form of meditation and qi gong (energy practice) can be profound.

The science linking the immune system and meditation
Further scientific research recently published in Translational Psychiatry examined the molecular mechanism that links meditation with immunity. The study shows that the genetic changes brought about during periods of meditation show a shift in expression linked to healing, stress and inflammation.

Science will continue to catch up with the ancient Eastern arts in linking meditation with the immune system and better health. In the meantime, those of us trained in the arts of Tao Calligraphy and other meditative practises can reap the benefits. These include unblocking qi and attracting positive life changes.

Within the Tao Calligraphy Healing Field, practitioners produce a healing liquid within their own saliva. This boosts health and immunity and improves emotional and mental challenges.

Everyone has some kind of physical or health problem. And whether we want to improve our immune system or anxiety levels, using the power of our soul and spirit is the key. The Tao Calligraphy Healing Field uses the sacred power of ancient arts with the Oneness of writing positive messages. This can help to transform all kinds of negativity within a person’s life.

Harnessing the ancient arts to heal our mind, body and soul

When people join me in meditating through these Tao Calligraphies, we all invoke upon Nature, the Earth and the Source itself. By establishing a universal connection, enhanced through qi flow, we can connect deeply to our soul.

This is what people experience at the Tao Calligraphy Fields that are set up at my Master Sha Tao centres. These safe and welcoming spaces offer the chance to practice Tao Shu Fa Tai Ju Yang Sheng. This is the Tao Calligraphy Tai Chi movement that specifically helps us to nourish our soul, rejuvenate our life and heal our bodies.

Together, we have the power to heal and transform ourselves and the world.
